IMO by SOF Olympiad details for Class 11

Science Olympiad Foundation’s (SOF) International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO) Class 11 is taken at two levels: 

Level-1: Which is organised at respective schools. The students need to get registered at their respective schools. The test syllabus is based on the curriculum of CBSE/ICSE/State Boards. 

Level-2: This level is for the qualifiers of the level-1 for class 3 to 12. The qualifiers are:

  • International level: Those who appeared in the level-1 internationally and stand in the top 5% overall.
  • State/Zone level: The topper rank upto 25 from all the zones and class.
  • School level: If a class has total 10 registrations, then the topper and also scoring at least 50% (qualifying marks).

DATE ONE – 10th November 2022
DATE TWO – 22nd November 2022
DATE THREE – 13th December 2022

IMO Syllabus for Class-11

Logical Reasoning:  Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning.

Mathematical Reasoning : Sets, Relations and Functions, Principle of Mathematical Induction, Logarithms, Complex Numbers & Quadratic Equations, Linear Inequations, Sequences and Series, Trigonometry, Straight Lines, Conic Sections, Permutations and Combinations, Binomial Theorem, Statistics, Mathematical Reasoning, Limits and Derivatives, Probability, Introduction to 3-D Geometry.

OR

Mathematical Reasoning : Numbers, Quantification, Numerical Applications, Sets, Relations and Functions, Sequences and Series, Permutations and Combinations, Mathematical Reasoning, Limits, Continuity and Differentiability, Probability, Descriptive Statistics, Basics of Financial Mathematics, Straight Lines, Circles.

Everyday Mathematics : The syllabus of this section will be based on the syllabus of Quantitative Aptitude.

Achievers Section: Sets, Relations and Functions, Sequences and Series, Permutations and Combinations, Limits and Derivatives, Straight Lines, Circles, Probability.
