The CUET exam 2022 is scheduled on the first and second week of July. It is an entrance exam after 12th. It has received more than 11 lakh registrations with around 9 lakh applicants paying the fees. It has now become the second largest entrance exam in the country. The registration process ended on May 22nd, and the correction window was open from May 25th to May 31st.
What is the CUET exam 2022?
For the academic year 2022-23, the Ministry of Education in India has proposed a common entrance examination after 12th for central universities, entitled Common University Entrance Test (CUET). This examination will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). This exam provides a common platform to students who intend to apply to Central Universities for their Undergraduate Programs (UG).
Is the CUET exam taken Online or Offline?

What are the fees for the CUET exam?
CUET exam fees details are as follows:
- General Category: Rs. 650
- OBC/EWS Category: Rs. 600

Centers of the CUET exam
The CUET exam will be Computer-Based and will be taken in special Test Practise Centers. The test will be taken in 13 international cities and around 547 Indian cities. All the major cities will be covered like: Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Delhi, Chennai, Kanpur, Jaipur, Kolkata, Bangalore, and many others. What will be the exam pattern of CUET-2022?
The CUET-2022 exam will have 4 sections and the duration will be of either 3 hours and 15 minutes or 3 hours and 45 minutes, depending on the options chosen by the student giving the exam.
The section-wise details are as follows:
- Section I: Language
- Time: 45 minutes for each language.
- The main focus of this section is on communication skills and fluency.
- 40 questions to be answered out of 50
- A: 13 languages
- B: 19 languages
- Section II: Domain-Specific
- Time: 45 minutes for each subject.

- Candidates need to select a total of 6 subjects (as per the preferred University guidelines) from a list of 27 domain-specific subjects.
- Section III: General Knowledge
- Time: 60 minutes.

How to apply for the CUET exam 2022?
Students need to login to the official website of the CUET exam. All the basic details like personal info are to be added and then credentials like username and password will be generated. Post logging in with the credentials, one must fill out the CUET-2022 application form wherein the test city preference, documents, etc are to be uploaded. The CUET-2022 admit card will also be made available on the official website.
How to apply for an admission post giving the CUET exam?
All the universities accepting CUET score will prepare their merit lists for all the programs that are being offered. The students need to have a minimum of 50% (for the general category) and 45% (for the reserved category) in the class 12 board examination to be eligible for the CUET-2022 exam.
Later on, the universities will undertake their admission process by preparing merit lists. Talking about B.Tech, the minimum percentage for the general category is 45% and for the reserved category is 40%.
Through CUET, it now becomes easier for students to get admission into their choice of a university by giving only a single examination.
